Engine Specifications of the Toyota 2.4 (2AZ-FE)
In 2002, the 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine was released. The 2.2L 5S-FE Engine was replaced with a larger and more capable engine with upgraded characteristics.
In spite of their similar appearance, the 2.4 and 2.2 engines have different displacements.
Initial released in 2004, the first generation of Toyota’s 2.4 engine was reworked in 2008. Vehicles equipped with the new 2.4 engine have more power and torque than before. Because of its technique of direct infusion.
Also, the revised engine design has a compression ratio of 9.8:1 instead of the original 9.6:1. Camshafts were also replaced. 6500 RPM is now available.
