The BMW M57 is a three-litre (1,997 cc), inline-six, single-turbocharged diesel engine produced from 2003 to 2009. It was sold in 525d, 525xd, 525i and 528i models with a power output ranging from 120 kW (163 PS) up to 170 kW (231 PS) once the new Euro 4 emission standards were implemented.
