1.3 Toyota Avanza K3 engine History
The Toyota Avanza was a car manufactured in Indonesia by Gaya Motor. It was first released in 2004 and is still in production today. The vehicle has been sold under the name Scion xA and xB, Pontiac Vibe, Chevrolet Spin, Opel Frontera, Geo Tracker II & Chevy Tracker from 1998 to 2003. In North America the Avanza/Vibe were built at CAMI Automotive in Ingersoll, Ontario Canada. In South Africa it was sold as the Toyota bB until 2012 when it got a makeover and re-launched as Toyota Avanza. This latest version of the vehicle shares a platform with the Suzuki Every Wagon which also uses a 1.3L K3 engine .
1.3 Toyota Avanza K3 engine Types of cars
The vehicle has been built in 3 generations with 2 body types; A 4-door MPV or 5-door hatchback (2004 – 2013) and a 3-door version (2014 onwards). The 1.3L K3 is usually found in the first two generations which are known as the bB & “S” cA/C2 . The third generation uses a more powerful 1.5L L15B engine. Some of the various models that use this specific engine include: GSX Limited, GS Limited, GLX Sportivo, Active Adventure, Adventure G , All New Avanza, Axio & Y GRMN . This vehicle is available in both FWD & AWD.
